Filters and Search

XSMP has a fast and convenient instant multi-tier filtering / searching algorithm.

1. First filter – select the volume to be searched. It’s not always necessary to search the whole library, often it’s necessary to search for material only in the selected directory.

2. The second important filter is the search criteria.
Available options:
– Material Name
– Description
– 3ds Max Version
– Material Type
By selecting one criterion, others will be ignored.
For example, you selected the criterion for 3ds Max Version. By entering the search box “13” or “2013”, only materials that matches that version will be displayed.
If you want to search material by specific word or phrase, you can also use the description field to add these info and then search in the search field by typing the string (when selected Description criterion). Only material which contain the string in their description will be shown as search results (material name and other will be ignored).
If you need to search by material type, select the Material Type criterion. By typing a part or all type name (for example “vrayblend”), only the materials that matches the desired type will be displayed.

3. The last filter determines which materials will be displayed in the search result. Available options: All Materials and Favorites.
